So far, so good

Well I started this company with the intention of focusing on Calgary, because, well, I live here and I know the advertising landscape very well. So far, I have been contacted and working on projects for mostly national companies, which is great and very exciting. Currently I am busy working on a brand awareness campaign plan for Beaners Fun Cuts for Kids, a hair salon for kids. They have numerous franchise locations in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. The creative concept, developed by Trigger is “Kids shouldn’t have adult hair cuts.” More to come on this exciting project!

Starting Glow Marketing

Some people think I am crazy to leave my job at one of Calgary’s best agencies, but really I’m not. I love the company, the crazy talented (and I mean crazy) people, the awesome clients I work on, the big budgets (sometimes) and the support staff. But I am ready to spread my wings and take on smaller clients that can’t afford a monthly retainer or $175/hour for me to have a meeting with them. And if I can work on projects that might not make me rich but are exciting and challenging, or take an hour to go to the gym now and then or work from home if the kids are sick, well I say it’s worth a try. This part of the blog is about starting Glow and the  ups and downs of starting a marketing company in Calgary.
